Tinubu withdraws appointment of government official after few hours
President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the reappointment of Muheeba Dankaka as chairperson of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) just hours after naming her to the position.
Initially reappointed at 6:35 p.m. on Monday, Dankaka was replaced by former lawmaker Ayo Hulayat Omidiran by 10:44 p.m. the same day.
The quick reversal caused confusion among officials and the public, with some, including the Emir of Ilorin, publicly congratulating Dankaka before the change was announced
