Tinubu Urges Nigerians: Tough Times Now, But Prosperity Is Coming

By Achimi Muktar

In a bold and emotional appeal to the nation, President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and hopeful amid tough economic reforms, promising that the hardship of today will lead to lasting prosperity.

Speaking during a grand reception in Awka, Anambra State, Tinubu acknowledged the painful sacrifices many citizens are enduring but stressed they are crucial steps toward rebuilding a stronger and more resilient Nigeria.

“We plead with Nigerians for patience and understanding,” the president said. “We have no other country but Nigeria. We must make it great as the pride of the black race.”

Tinubu painted a candid picture of the nation’s economic challenges—ranging from near-insolvent public finances to multiple subsidies and a chaotic forex regime—but assured the public that his administration has begun tackling these issues head-on.

“The monsters have been tackled,” he declared, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda is already creating visible change in sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and technology.

He praised Anambra State for its leadership in innovation and worker welfare, particularly its full implementation of the new national minimum wage, describing it as “a signal of true leadership and compassion for the working class.”

The president also hailed Governor Charles Soludo as “a brilliant man” and a visionary who shares his passion for a better Nigeria.

Tinubu concluded with a promise of equitable development across all regions, including increased federal investment in roads, power, rail, and digital infrastructure—particularly in the Southeast.

With a rallying cry for patriotism and unity, Tinubu’s message was clear: the road may be rough now, but a brighter, more prosperous Nigeria is just ahead.
