Tinubu Reaffirms His Administration’s Commitment to National Security

President Bola Tinubu has once again declared war on insecurity, vowing that no Nigerian will be left unprotected under his watch. Marking the second anniversary of his administration, the President assured that his government’s top priority remains the safety and security of Nigerians across the country.
In a powerful statement released Thursday, Tinubu said Nigeria’s peaceful way of life must never be compromised, and pledged to continue strengthening the nation’s security architecture.
“Without a responsive and reliable national security infrastructure that can protect lives and properties, our economy will not perform optimally,” Tinubu said. “Those who seek to harm us will impair and disrupt our way of life.”
He noted that his administration had made measurable progress in boosting inter-agency collaboration, enhancing intelligence-led operations, and improving the welfare of security forces.
The president reserved glowing praise for the country’s armed forces, applauding their courage and daily sacrifices.
“We may not always witness the tremendous efforts they make to keep us safe, but we benefit every day from the results of their dedication,” he said. “Even if we do not thank them often enough, they willingly face danger so we can go about our lives freely and without fear.”
Highlighting notable gains in the North-West, Tinubu revealed that areas previously terrorized by bandits have now been reclaimed by the military. Farmers have returned to their lands, and previously dangerous roads are now considered safe for travel.
“Our security agencies have succeeded many times in rescuing abducted citizens from the hands of their tormentors,” the President said.
Recounting his directive to security chiefs, Tinubu said he has urged them to "up their game" and maintain vigilance to “end this plague of evil men” threatening the country.
“Every Nigerian deserves to live without fear,” he reiterated.
The statement comes at a time when Nigerians are demanding more visible results in the fight against insecurity. Tinubu’s message signals not only a renewed commitment but also a rallying cry to both citizens and the military: Nigeria must not fall to fear.
