The Time for Nation-Building: Choosing Productive Ventures over Disruptive Activism.

As Nigeria stands at the threshold of industrialization, it is imperative for the current generation to prioritize nation-building over disruptive activism. The country is poised to lay the critical foundations for its future, and it requires collective effort and responsibility to seize this opportunity.

The removal of oil subsidies and the incentives for local refining capacities are significant steps towards industrialization. The Dangote refinery, one of the largest in the world, is a testament to the country's potential. However, instead of celebrating this progress, some individuals have chosen to focus on idealist activism, criticizing the investment as a monopoly. This mentality not only blinds us to opportunities but also hinders our ability to work towards a common goal.

The democratization of power generation and the liberation of independent power generation companies are also significant milestones. Yet, some individuals continue to focus on tearing down rather than building from the grassroots. It is time to shift our focus from activism to nation-building, from blaming others to taking responsibility, and from venting anger to investing in productive ventures.

The current administration has demonstrated courage in its efforts to achieve financial autonomy for local governments, a crucial step towards true federalism. However, instead of supporting this initiative, some individuals have chosen to criticize and undermine it. It is time to recognize the importance of working together to build enduring legacies.

Nigeria is at a crossroads, and it is time to choose between disruptive activism and productive nation-building. We need leaders who are willing to work, innovate, and synergize to build a better future. We need individuals who are ready to roll up their sleeves and do the work, rather than simply talking about it. The rewards are immense, and it is time to seize this opportunity. Let us choose nation-building over activism and work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians.
