The Renewed Hope Ward Development Program announced by President Bola Tinubu will soon take off. The idea is to empower over 8.8 million Nigerian Entrepreneurs across 8,809 electoral wards.
The program is part of President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2030. By decentralizing development and empowering local communities, the RHWDP aims to bridge the gap between macroeconomic reforms and microeconomic realities.
The president seeks collaboration between Federal, State, and Local Governments, with a National Steering Committee overseeing the program's execution.
The program aims to stimulate local economies, boost employment, and improve living standards in rural areas by providing direct intervention in each ward.
By identifying and supporting 1,000 to 2,000 economically active persons in each ward, depending on the ward's size, to generate employment, reduce poverty, and enhance food security.
The expectation of the FG is to achieve double-digit economic growth, improved livelihoods, and tangible economic gains that uplift communities and promote self-reliance.
