The Reality of the Nigeria Tinubu is Tackling

By Seun okunuga

Tinubu is governing a country twice the size of what Obasanjo govern in 2007,  with less resources...

In 2007 Nigeria population was around 140 million...

In 2025 , Nigeria population is above 240million..

In 2007 Nigeria was selling 2.6million  barrels of oil daily at over $70 per barrel

In 2025 Nigeria is selling 1.5million barrels of oil daily at about $70 per barrel.

In 2025 Nigeria have more mouth to feed with lesser resources than was available in 2007...

Those who naively compare the past to the present should know that the food that three people used to eat in 2007 is now being eaten by 12 people....
If you still eat today be grateful....

Nigeria simply had a population that was ballooning with a resources that is shrinking...

In 2007 Nigeria had 27 Federal universities...

In 2025 Nigeria has 68 federal universities....
More lecturers to pay, more non academic staff to pay... With less resources compare to 2007....

More cars and lorries using the same roads than was in 2007... Putting more pressure and resources in maintaining this roads than ever in 2025.

The Western countries and other developed world have almost same population as in 20, 30, 40 years ago... Having same or more resources to cater for fewer people, leaving room for wealth creation...

Unlike Nigeria that have grew it's population by over 6 times in 40 years with stagnated resources...

These same people who give birth to children like Cock ro **aches ... Still have the nerve to complain of being hungry and angry...

When you counsel them to reduce the number of kids they produce they tell you God would feed them...
Now they are hungry and angry but not with the God they used as excuse to produce kids they can't feed... But with the govt that counsel them..

Population growth is only good when resources is growing in greater proportion... But it is a calamity when population grow and resources shrink as we have in Nigeria....

All the subsidy that has become a burden to Nigeria today were introduced when the population of Nigeria was about 40 million, we produced over 2.3million barrels of crude oil daily at over the prices of today. in over 45 years ago...

From Education Subsidy, Agricultural subsidy, Road subsidy, Health subsidy, fuel Subsidy, religious subsidy, electricity Subsidy and more...
Now the resources can no longer subsidize the size of the population..
