Police Declare British National Wanted for Alleged Plot to Overthrow Tinubu's Government

The Nigerian Police Force has declared Andrew Wynne, a British national, wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu. The Force has launched a comprehensive investigation into the activities of Wynne and other subversive elements who allegedly plotted to undermine the democratically elected government through unconstitutional regime change and orchestrate violence across the country.
According to the police spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Wynne rented a space at Labour House, Abuja, for an 'Iva Valley Bookshop' and established 'STARS of Nations Schools' as a cover for his subversive activities. Documentary evidence and confessions revealed that Wynne issued directives and monitored progress of the August protest, provided finance and operational guidance to achieve unconstitutional regime change in Nigeria.
Nine suspects have been apprehended, who received substantial financial backing from foreign sources to destabilize the country. Preliminary findings suggest they orchestrated and funded violent protests, disseminated false information, and engaged in other unlawful activities to create anarchy and justify their illegal plot to overthrow the democratically elected government.
The police had previously invited Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), over Wynne's activities, and have reinvited him for further questioning. The Polish authorities had also clarified that their citizens, who were detained in connection with the protest, were in Kano for an exchange course at Bayero University, Kano, and had no involvement in the protest.
