The Bigger Picture: Strengthening National Revenue Collection
The announcement comes on the heels of the NCS’s 61st quarterly board meeting, where the agency’s key role in the 2025 “Budget of Restoration” was emphasized. With a revenue projection of N35 trillion out of the N48 trillion expenditure plan, the Customs Service is expected to continue driving national economic stability.
Having already generated over N5 trillion in revenue by November 2024, the NCS is scaling up its workforce to enhance efficiency in revenue collection, border security, and trade facilitation.
Job Opportunities in Revenue Collection Expanding
The NCS recruitment drive follows a similar announcement from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), which recently began hiring senior officers to complement earlier recruitment efforts for junior roles.
