New Emir of Zuru Pledges Commitment To Serve People and Government of Kebbi.

The newly appointed Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Sanusi Mikailu Sami, Gomo III, says his focus is on a future where Zuru Emirate will experience significant transformation and development as his mission and vission go beyond the years of his reign as the Emir.
The Emir, while expressing gratitude to the people of the Emirate at his palace in Zuru for their overwhelming support, also pledged to work closely with the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), to make Zuru a better and more prosperous society.
He acknowledged the Governor’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of Zuru Emirate, especially with improved infrastructure and road intervention linking the Emirate to other states and making access to major cities easier and faster.
“Now, in just two hours, you can reach Birnin Kebbi, unlike before when it took six hours because of bad roads. Today, vehicles can even fly on the road,” the Emir enthused.
“I am again extending special thanks to Governor Nasir Idris for his intervention in the rehabilitation of the KoKo – Dabai road which has immensely rekindled economic activities and social interaction of our communities, we are also happy about the consistent effort by the Governor to improve security in the Emirate with fruitful results”. The Emir added.
Acknowledging the role of the Governor in his emergence as the Emir, Alhaji Sanusi Mikailu Sami commended the remarkable leadership exhibited during the demise of the late Emir, Maj.-Gen. Sani Sami (rtd), Gomo II, by ensuring due process in the selection of a new Emir without interference.
He also expressed gratitude to the Kingmakers and security agencies for their roles in the smooth transition.
The Emir prayed for divine guidance to lead the people with justice and fairness and reaffirmed his determination to work hand-in-hand with Gov. Idris to actualize the Governor’s optimistic vision for the development of the state.
