"Kaduna State Security Council Enforces 24-Hour Curfew in Kaduna and Zaria Metropolitan Areas

The Kaduna State Security Council, led by Governor Uba Sani, has taken decisive action in response to the deteriorating security situation in the state. Following a thorough review of the situation, the council has made the following announcements:

1. Evidence suggests that the ongoing protests have been infiltrated by criminal elements, leading to widespread looting and destruction of private and public property.

2. In light of this development, the Kaduna State Security Council has unanimously agreed to impose a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna and Zaria metropolitan areas, effective immediately.

3. Citizens are strongly advised to remain indoors while security forces work to restore safety and security.

4. The curfew will be continuously monitored, and its status will be reviewed as necessary.
