The central ceremony was held at Eagle Square in Abuja, where Vice President Shettima, standing in for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, laid a wreath in memory of the fallen heroes. Rivers State: Governor Siminalayi Fubara presided over a moving tribute, acknowledging the sacrifices of military personnel in maintaining peace and security in the Niger Delta region.

 

Bayelsa State: Governor Douye Diri emphasized the importance of supporting the families of fallen soldiers and strengthening national unity.

 

Bauchi State: Governor Bala Mohammed highlighted the enduring legacy of Nigeria's armed forces, pledging continued support for veterans.

 

Ogun State: Governor Dapo Abiodun led a wreath-laying ceremony, urging citizens to remember the selflessness of the nation’s heroes.

 

Adamawa State: Governor Ahmadu Fintiri called for renewed efforts to care for widows and children of fallen soldiers, ensuring their welfare remains a national priority.

 

Enugu State: Governor Peter Mbah stressed the need for national cohesion as a tribute to those who fought for peace and unity.

 

Benue State: Governor Hyacinth Alia recognized the critical role of the armed forces in securing communities across Nigeria.

 

Lagos State: Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in honoring the state's military heroes, calling for continued collaboration to enhance security.
