Former Minister Sunday Dare Hails President Tinubu's N2trn ESP.

The former minister of youth and sports development, Chief Sunday Dare, has hailed President Bola Tinubu’s decision to inject N2 trillion into the economy,saying that it is a bold decision that adopts,targeted and expansionary initiatives. 

On July 4th,2024 , President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced a N2 trillion economic stabilisation plan(ESP) to revive Nigeria's struggling economy while inaugurating the Presidential Economic Coordination Council (PECC) at the State House in Abuja, three months after a 30-member committee was constituted to revive the economy in the short term.

On Wednesday,while reacting to the development on his Twitter handle formerly known as"X", Chief Dare explained that the President has taken a bold decision that adopts, targeted and expansionary initiatives. Noting that the Economic Stabilisation Programme (ESP)will hopefully ensure lower interest rates, increase government spending to boost the economy.

According to him" Still on President Bola Tinubu’s N2 trillion Economic Stabilisation Programme, ESP.  It is a bold decision that adopts  targeted and expansionary initiatives. The ESP will hopefully ensure lower interest rates, increase govt spending  to boost the economy.

This decision has been hailed by many experts as a firm and decisive move by a President who knows his onions, that borrows from similar economic stimulus packages seen in the USA, Bangladesh, Egypt, UK among others. The tax incentive component is a dynamic economic tool." He tweeted.
