Falana Rejects Planned Protest -

"I will not join the Protest. The leaders are faceless. "

Renowned Lagos lawyer Femi Falana has unequivocally rejected the planned protest scheduled for August, citing concerns about the identity and motivations of the organizers. During an appearance on Seun Okinbaloye's program "Politics Today," Falana was asked if he would be joining the protest, to which he responded with a vehement "No!"

Falana expressed his reservations about the protest, stating that "the leaders are faceless" and implying that the entire exercise is shrouded in secrecy. His comments echo the concerns of many Nigerians who are skeptical about the true intentions of the protest organizers, who have dubbed the event a "Day of Rage" on social media.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has appealed to young people to be patient as he reviews their demands, and has taken steps to address some of their grievances, including the distribution of tons of grains, rice, and fertilizers across the country. Additionally, the student loan program has received millions of applications, indicating a positive response to the administration's efforts.

Falana's rejection of the protest adds to the growing uncertainty surrounding the event, with many wondering if the organizers' goals are genuinely aligned with the interests of the Nigerian people. As the planned protest approaches, it remains to be seen whether the concerns of Falana and others will be addressed, or if the event will proceed amidst lingering doubts and public fears.
