Edo Decides 2024: Collation of results:

Yakubu Haruna Yakubu 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the collation of results for the Edo State governorship election will continue at 5 PM today, focusing on the remaining two local government areas (LGAs): Oredo and Ikpoba-Okha.

Barr. Olumide Akpata, the Labour Party’s candidate and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), voted at Unit 11, Ward 6 in Oredo LGA, which is also home to PDP Governor Godwin Obaseki and several key APC leaders.

The PDP’s deputy governorship candidate, Barr. Osarodion Ogie and many APC leaders are from Ikpoba-Okha LGA, located in Benin Kingdom.

16. Etsako West LGA (of Senator Adams Oshiomhole and Comrade Philip Shaibu), with 12 wards.

Total registered voters = 186,449

Total accredited voters = 54,304

APC= 32,107

PDP = 17,483

LP = 2,116

Total valid votes = 52,226

Rejected votes = 1,188

Total votes cast = 53,414.
