⛽ Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price Again – Now N820/Litre As More Marketers Join Nationwide Rollout

Relief at the Pumps!
In a move that signals growing momentum and market confidence, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in its ex-depot petrol price—from N840 to N820 per litre.

This latest cut comes just a week after a previous drop from N880, underscoring Dangote’s commitment to market-responsive pricing as well as its emerging dominance in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.

Anthony Chiejina, Group Spokesman for Dangote, confirmed the new price in a statement released Tuesday, adding that the new rate takes immediate effect.

“This price reduction reflects ongoing shifts in global crude dynamics,” Chiejina said, referencing the volatility seen during the recent 12-day geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, which had temporarily spiked global oil prices.

📈 More Marketers, More Reach
Beyond pricing, Dangote’s retail network is expanding at record pace. Independent marketers and major oil distribution players are rushing to get on board as confidence in Dangote’s supply stability rises.

Chiejina revealed that dozens of companies have joined the refinery’s distribution channel, ensuring broader access to refined products across the country.

Among the new entrants are:

TotalEnergies

Garima Petroleum

Sunbeth Energies

Sobaz Nigeria Ltd.

Virgin Forest Energy

Sixxco Oil Ltd.

N.U. Synergy Ltd.

Soroman Nigeria Ltd.

And the list keeps growing, with more players like:

Jezco Oil Nigeria Ltd.

Jengre

Cocean

Kifayat

Triumph Golden

Sifem Global

Riquest

Mamu Oil

…all now part of what could be the broadest petroleum distribution network in Nigeria's recent history.

🚛 What It Means
With the Dangote Refinery ramping up production and cutting costs, fuel marketers now have access to cheaper, local supply, reducing dependence on imports and forex exposure. For Nigerians, this could mean more competitive pricing at retail outlets—and hopefully, relief from price shocks.

This continued downward revision also adds pressure on other players to follow suit or risk losing market share.

💡 Bottom Line?
The Dangote Refinery isn’t just refining oil—it’s refining the rules of Nigeria’s energy game.

From pricing power to logistical reach, the refinery is positioning itself as the new backbone of Nigeria’s petroleum supply chain. And if the current trend holds, consumers and marketers alike are in for a major industry reset.
