Dangote Cement Teams Up with Tetracore Energy to Revolutionize Logistics with CNG Supply
By Achimi Muktar
In a groundbreaking move to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG), Tetracore Energy has forged a strategic partnership with Dangote Cement, a subsidiary of the Dangote Group. This collaboration promises to transform Nigeria’s logistics landscape with the supply of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
Under the agreement, Tetracore Energy will deliver an impressive 400,000 standard cubic meters (SCM) of CNG to power Dangote Cement’s logistics operations. This initiative not only meets the growing energy demands of Dangote’s expansive logistics fleet but also supports Nigeria’s broader transition to cleaner energy solutions.
A Win for Sustainability and Accessibility
To ensure an uninterrupted supply of CNG, Tetracore Energy plans to deploy cutting-edge mobile refilling units while establishing strategically positioned mother stations across the nation. This infrastructure will provide seamless access to CNG for Dangote Cement and other auto CNG users, marking a significant step towards reducing Nigeria’s carbon footprint.
Dayo Williams, a program executive and spokesperson for Tetracore Energy, highlighted the significance of the partnership:
"This collaboration underscores Tetracore’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions. By collaborating with Dangote Cement, we are supporting one of the nation’s largest logistic operations and driving the adoption of CNG, a cleaner, more efficient fuel option."
Cleaner Energy, Brighter Future
As Nigeria works toward embracing cleaner energy alternatives, this partnership sets a precedent for how major corporations can collaborate to achieve national sustainability goals. With the support of innovative solutions from Tetracore Energy, Dangote Cement is poised to lead the charge in adopting eco-friendly energy practices in logistics.
This landmark partnership is more than just a business deal—it’s a step toward a greener, more sustainable Nigeria.
