Key leaders who have already announced their exit include :
- *Former Senate President David Mark*: He has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has been named the interim National Chairman of the ADC.
- *Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi*: He has left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the ADC.
- *Former Attorney General Abubakar Malami*: He has also exited the APC for the ADC.
- *Former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha*: He has formally joined the ADC, urging his supporters to follow suit.

However, some prominent figures like *former Vice President Atiku Abubakar* and *Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi* have not yet formally defected, sparking speculation about their intentions. Atiku is expected to follow the proper procedure for exiting the PDP, which involves submitting a formal letter of resignation to his ward chairman. Meanwhile, Peter Obi has received a 48-hour ultimatum from a faction of the Labour Party to resign his membership, which he has not yet acted upon .
