ABUJA: The Federal Government has just made an exciting announcement: December 25th, 26th, and January 1st will be official public holidays to celebrate Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day! This festive break is set to bring more joy and reflection for all Nigerians.

 

Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, shared the news on Monday, revealing that the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, declared the dates as public holidays on behalf of the Federal Government.

 

In his statement, Dr. Tunji-Ojo extended heartfelt greetings to all Nigerians, urging them to embrace the spirit of love, peace, and unity that the season brings. "The Christmas season is a time for spiritual reflection and national renewal," he remarked, encouraging Nigerians to focus on fostering harmony within families and communities.

"As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, let us show kindness and goodwill to one another, regardless of our differences," said Dr. Tunji-Ojo.
