Arewa Youth Assembly Backs SGF, Rejects Baseless Allegations

The Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) has come out in strong support of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, dismissing recent allegations against him as baseless and politically motivated. In a statement signed by its Speaker, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, the youth group praised Akume's dedication and loyalty to national service, highlighting his key role in implementing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

AYA commended Akume's integrity, transparency, and accountability in discharging his duties, describing him as a vital figure in the current administration. The group urged President Tinubu to disregard the attempts to distract Akume from his responsibilities and instead focus on the nation's development.

The youth assembly also called on security agencies to investigate the individuals behind the petition, expressing concern that their actions could be aimed at inciting unrest and discrediting the administration. AYA emphasized the importance of verifying claims and ensuring that public office holders are not subjected to media trials without due process.
