Alleged Breach: FCCPC To Arraign MultiChoice Chairman, Others
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) is set to arraign the Chairman of MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, Adewunmi Ogunsanya, and the company's Managing Director, John Ugbe, along with six other senior officials. The arraignment is scheduled for October 7, 2025.

The charges stem from alleged breaches of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018. Specifically, the FCCPC alleges that MultiChoice impeded its investigation by refusing to produce documents. This development follows a recent price hike by MultiChoice on its DStv and Gotv packages, despite an invitation by the FCCPC to explain the reason behind the increase .
