Ali Dalori replaces Ganduje as acting national chairman of APC

Ali Bukar Dalori has been sworn in as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after Abdullahi Umar Ganduje resigned from the position due to health reasons. Dalori, who previously served as the Deputy National Chairman (North), officially took over on June 27, 2025.

- Tenure: Dalori will lead the party until its next National Convention scheduled for December 2025, focusing on unity, discipline, and inclusiveness.
- Challenges: He'll need to manage lingering tensions within the APC since the last election cycle and prepare the party for upcoming off-cycle governorship elections and the 2027 general polls.
- Party Reaction: The swearing-in ceremony was attended by members of the National Working Committee (NWC), state party leaders, and other top stakeholders, who pledged loyalty to Dalori.
