Shocking Exit: Elon Musk’s Transgender Daughter Plans to Leave U.S. After Trump’s Victory

In a dramatic turn of events, Vivian Wilson, the estranged transgender daughter of billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk, has announced plans to leave the United States in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential victory. Wilson, 20, expressed her decision via a series of posts on Threads, citing concerns over the country’s political climate under Trump’s return to office.
"I don’t see my future in the United States," Wilson shared. "I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. Even if he’s only in office for four years, even if anti-trans regulations don’t materialise, the people who voted for this aren’t going anywhere anytime soon."
Vivian, formerly known as Xavier Musk before her 2022 legal name and gender change, has been estranged from her father, seeking to distance herself from Musk both legally and emotionally. She adopted her mother’s maiden name, Wilson, to symbolise the separation, stating in court filings, "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form."
Musk, a known supporter of Trump, has often spoken publicly about his fraught relationship with Vivian. Referring to her as a "communist" who views wealth as evil, Musk has been critical of her transition. The Tesla CEO claimed that he had been misled into consenting to Vivian’s use of puberty blockers, calling it a "trick" during the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I didn’t fully understand what was happening at the time; I was told Xavier might commit suicide," Musk explained in an interview. He has previously described puberty blockers as "sterilisation drugs" and labelled gender dysphoria as "incredibly evil," arguing that those promoting it should face legal consequences.
"I lost my son," Musk said, referring to his daughter’s transition. "They call it ‘deadnaming’ because your son is dead, killed by the woke mind virus."
Vivian, however, painted a different picture of their strained relationship. She claims Musk was largely absent from her childhood and criticised her for her "femininity and queerness."
"He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he simply wasn’t there," Vivian stated. "I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness. I’ve been reduced to a stereotype. I think that says a lot about how he views queer people and children in general."
The ongoing feud between Musk and his daughter continues to make headlines, with Vivian’s planned departure from the U.S. only deepening the family’s estrangement. As the political and cultural divides in America grow starker, it seems the rift between the billionaire and his daughter is far from healing.
