By Achimi Muktar

In a visit set to spotlight Anambra’s development strides, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will storm the state on May 8 to commission a series of landmark infrastructure projects executed under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The announcement was made during the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, where Governor Soludo described the visit as more than symbolic—it’s a clear nod from the federal government acknowledging Anambra’s transformation journey.

“This visit is not just ceremonial—it is a validation of our commitment to infrastructure renewal and sustainable governance,” Soludo declared, drawing applause from the crowd.

He emphasized that President Tinubu’s presence marks a strengthened partnership between the federal and state governments, signaling a new era of collaboration aimed at fast-tracking development in the Southeast.

While the specific projects to be commissioned remain under wraps, sources close to the state government hint at major roadworks, urban renewal sites, and public service infrastructure that have reshaped the state's landscape in the past three years.

Soludo urged residents to turn out in large numbers and give the President a hero’s welcome, saying the visit offers a unique opportunity to spotlight Anambra’s achievements on a national stage.

“Let’s show the world what Anambra has accomplished and the potential we hold,” the governor added.

With excitement building across the state, all eyes are on May 8 as Anambra prepares to host Nigeria’s number one citizen—and celebrate a shared vision for progress.
