In a fierce midnight battle, Nigerian troops of the Joint Task Force successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack on a military base in Waga Village, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

How the Attack Unfolded

According to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who shared details on his X handle, the assault occurred at 3:30 a.m. on Friday when suspected Boko Haram fighters attempted to overrun the base.

However, the alertness and firepower of the troops overwhelmed the insurgents, forcing them to retreat.

Intelligence sources confirmed that the soldiers' swift and coordinated response successfully repelled the attackers, ensuring that:
