Nigeria -Benin World Cup React! 
*I DON'T WATCH NIGERIA FOOTBALL MATCHES AGAIN - _FORMER SUPER EAGLES COACH ADEGBOYEGA ONIGBINDE_* 

Former Super Eagles Coach chief Adegboyega Onigbinde says he does not watch Super Eagles matches any longer because of the safety of health.

Reacting to the Super Eagles 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic on Monday in the 2026 FIFA World cup Qualifiers, Onigbinde said he will not join the call for the sack of Finidi George,  following the outcome of the two crucial games.

Finidi only managed to secure one point from a possible six from the latest round of the qualifying series against South Africa at home and Benin Republic away.

A result that has further dented the chances of Nigeria qualifying for the 2026 World cup in the USA, México and Canada,  with the Super Eagles sitting on 5th position with 3 points from four matches.

According to Onigbinde " I did not watch the two games against South Africa and Benin Republic but I am aware many Nigerians are very angry with the outcome of the games but for me I can only pray for Nigeria to still qualify for the World cup because that is what I owe my country".

" I don't think I am even in a position to talk about the future of the coach and weather he is good enough or not. The NFF that employed him must have seen something in him to give him the job and they are in the best position to decide if they are happy with him or not".

The 86 year old veteran football coach further told the traffic sports that he does not watch Nigeria football any longer on Television because of his age and health but he will always wish the Super Eagles all the best.

Chief Festus Adegboyega Onigbinde was a Former FIFA and CAF Technical Instructor and was the chief coach of the Super Eagles at the 2002 FIFA World cup in South Korea and Japan.
