Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction,  Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, visits Plateau Communities.  

Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction,  visited communities in Riyom, Bassa, and Bokkos Local Government Areas of Plateau state, which were recently affected by recent violent attacks.  During the visit, the minister conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's condolences to the victims and assured residents of the Federal Government's commitment to restoring peace and providing necessary humanitarian assistance. 

In a bid to alleviate the suffering of the affected populations, the minister provided relief materials,  including foodstuff and building materials to aid in the reconstruction of destroyed homes. 

The visit included assessments of the affected areas, interactions with displaced persons in their camps, and coordination with local authorities to facilitate the delivery of relief materials and support services.  

This initiative underscores the government's proactive approach to addressing humanitarian crises and fostering lasting peace in the communities.
