Former Minister Sunday Dare Extols Soun,Residents For Voicing Out On deplorable state of Oyo-Ogbomoso road.

-Assuring that under President Tinubu the road will be completed for the benefit of Nigerians.

The AGBAAKIN of Ogbomosoland and Former Minister of youth and sports development, Chief Sunday Dare, has extolled the paramout ruler of ogbomoso land, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III and the entire residents and inhabitants of ogbomoso land for voicing out on the deplorable condition of the Oyo-Ogbomoso road.

In a tweet released on Sunday on his X handle formerly known as "Twitter", Chief Dare noted that the road had caused much suffering to the people and has disrupted commercial activities within the ancient town. He specifically commended Soun of Ogbomosoland for leading from the front in the efforts toward fixing the road for the benefit of Nigerians.  

"We have seen a massive rally of Ogbomoso sons and daughters alongside Oyo citizens over the bad condition of the Oyo - Ogbomoso road. I thank the Soun of Ogbomosholand who is leading from the front. And more thanks to all the voices out there. I am certain that this time, under President Tinubu the road will be completed for the benefit of Nigerians. The rally must continue and we remain committed.

The deplorable condition of the Oyo-Ogbomoso road has featured prominently in the media in the past two weeks. Efforts to push for the completion of the road have been on for much longer albeit off the radar. We are hopeful that Federal action will commence soon. The expected visit of the Works Minister led by Distinguished Senator Abdul Fatai Buhari and key political leaders from Oyo State on October 30th will concretize efforts in this direction" . Chief Dare tweeted 

He however appealed to the Honourable Federal Minister of work ,David Umahi to pay attention to the people’s plight by fixing both the old Oyo-Ogbomoso road and Oyo-Ogbomoso express road, noting that people are suffering as movement in and out of the ancient city of ogbomoso has become a big challenge.

Recall that in his quest to bring total end to the suffering of road users and find lasting solution to deplorable state of Oyo-Ogbomoso express road which is cutting off the ancient city of ogbomoso land from other parts of the state and country, as a Federal Minister under ,Chief Dare facilitated additional fund for the completion of the road under Federal Government Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme or better known as the NNPC Tax Credit under the Ministry of Works.
